As of this writing (typing?) the Utopia server has been down for a while now. It is unknown to myself and few others exactly what happened, but I've been told Middy (Cody, our temporary host) has had nature difficulties at his home and is currently unable to host.
As it's not happened often before (hardly ever, I think), I propose we come up with a back up plan in case Minax or Middy become unable to host (temporarily or permanantly, I'm not sure of so far. Thinking short term for this). One of our players, WheresMySandwich (Mark, Kinny, GBS) has spoken before that he is able to host if needed. Scottosaur (Trey, Bloo) was also capable of hosting, but I do not know if he would be able to at the moment. Jayith (Javier) hosted once in the past, but, as with Scottosaur, I do not know if he would be able to host now.
My idea is uncertain, but to prevent such downtime again we should prepare for it. I'm not sure how hosting works (host files + fiddling w/ router = profit?), but those that do know, I would enjoy your speaking up and hopefully making it so we are never without our virtual gakuen.
